Ingredients

Dried bonito

A kind of seasoning used in Japan made by shaving slivers off boiled dried bonito. Sprinkle some of these flakes into boiling water and the flavor and fragrance will be transferred to the water. Strain, and use the flavored water when preparing Japanese dishes, and the strained flakes can be dipped in soy sauce and eaten on rice.
